Students who are interested in exploring a major in Sociology are encouraged to talk with our Advising Specialist who will advise students on general education requirements as well as general information about the major and minor.

  • If you have taken:
    2 Sociology courses & would like to Declare your Major or begin Graduation Certification    - please call 864-3500 to schedule an appointment with our Advising Specialist, Owen Marciano. Then you will need to meet with a Sociology Faculty Advisor. Please visit the main office, 716 Fraser, to schedule an appointment.
  • If you have not taken
    2 Sociology courses & have a hold on your account, please set up an appointment with the Undergraduate Advising Center at 864-2834.

Note: Owen Marciano is the Advising Specialist for the Departments of Sociology and Enviromental Studies. Since he splits his time between each department, please confirm which office your appointment will be in.
